Even 2 pair of socks cut off at just below the toes will give you more support and protection, without loosing your ability to feel the floor as you dance on pointe. I knew years ago I should have stocked up on my toe pads. I haven't found anything remotely close since then. Even if you put 2 sets of these pads on your toes, you still won't get the protection; but if you do that you might as well purchase lambs wool and use the extra money for a new pair of Russian Pointes or any pair of Pointe shoes for that matter.These are great toe pads for dancers. I just wish they would be able to last longer than 6 months.My daughters ordered based on the size chart and her shoes size but toe pads were too small.Little sister dances full time and this is only brand she will use. Wonderful product.These pads are very good quality and do not rip or tear for the first six months. They are comfortable and well padded for extra comfort. Gellows are some of the best pointe shoe pads.
